REVIVED EMOTIONS, A Contemporary Art Exhibition curated by Dr.Prakash Kishore brought many talented artists at one platform. The selected Artists were very unique and each one had individuality in their work. Chand Kumar Doliya is one such Artist, picked by Dr. Prakash Kishore (Curator)represented the current Society through his work. The Artists says -
In this recent series of portraits, I am trying to show my concern about growing pollution and it's an effect on the entire universe. In the present time not only in the entire world but in the universe pollution became one reason for most of the environmental-related issues. Humans are growing towards new research and discoveries and inventions but sometimes their presence in the space also one of the major factors for space pollution. Now, this issue of pollution just not remained as a global concern but it became a serious universal problem.
In my painting, space is the main element which is continuously disturbing and polluted by the human in the name of inventions and discoveries. Here I depicted Shiva , Buddha and Jesus with digitalized masks and background motifs.
Metaphorical representation of these religious icons conveyed a very strong message. Each icon is signifying some kind of ethics and values for life. For instance, Shiva stands for care, Buddha stands for knowledge and Jesus stands for sacrifice and love. All these religious icons in totality teach the value of peace, unity, cleanliness, nonviolence purity of soul and love with nature.
But due to human interference and these religious icons, those are known as superpower also unable to breathe in space. In my painting, I depicted a millennium era mask on each one's face. Here the mask represents the present condition of polluted air which even reached the space too. Nothing left behind it.
This kind of mask becomes a source for people for little healthy breathe otherwise they can even intake the natural oxygen directly. Present days in many countries we can see the difference infectious diseases spreading drastically like coronavirus and to prevent these people are wearing masks. To save themselves in this polluted space they have to wear a mask . These Surgical masks became a source for life and fashion too ..
We all should take a step ahead towards this growing pollution and now at least prevent unnecessary causes and sources which spread the pollution. world-wide many organizations and individuals are working and dedicating their life for making a change and make our environmental pollution-free but we also start thinking seriously about it.
Doliya has been constantly experimenting and exploring with his chosen set of realities, fashioning his visuals in a highly creative and flexible way. His paintings are attractive, subtle and contemplative in turn and engage the viewer in myriad ways emphasizing the relationship between man, society and the surrounding environment with an allegorical composition.
He is continuously looking for innovations in his methodological approaches and always plays with medium choosing the mix media and also experimenting inclusion of non-conventional mediums in his works. Like some of his paintings comprise the glass mirror, steel and other elements as the subject of the canvas demands.

Doliya has explored the 3D medium up to a great extent and establishing himself as one of the youngest artist in India practicing the medium at the diverse range and subject. His mastery has given accolades from different institutions all over the country and has got several invitations to showcase this talent where viewers are happily interacting with the works. The artist is not aiming to achieve a critical appreciation rather he is willing to fulfil his craving for a betterment in his technique, style and juxtaposition and moreover viewers connectivity with the artworks he produces.

Kathmandu to Bangkok: an art trip to remember
We, a group of 6 artists based on Kathmandu, visited Bangkok for an International Art Exhibition from 25 January 2020 to 30 January 2020. We, Pushpanjali Sherchan, Sarita Dangol, Sanjeet Maharjan, Nilesh Shakya, Deepmala Maharjan and Namrata Singh are from diverse age group and ethnic group from Nepal. It was a very memorable and fruitful visit for all of us. The exhibition was a collaboration between Sunheri chabil foundation of India and Rebel Art space of Thailand. The exhibition was curated by Dr. Prakash Kishore from India and Nawat Lertsawaengkit from Thailand. Ms. Aparna Patwardhan, Director of the Art and Culture Center, Embassy of India, Ms. Ramase Limsakul, Director of Contemporary Art Center, Ministry of Thailand, and Mr. Vasan Sitthiket, Chief International Curator from Thailand were the chief guests of the program. The title of the exhibition was ‘Revived Emotions’. It was held at Ratchademnoen Contemporary Art Center, Bangkok from 26th january to 29th january. There were 188 works of 68 artists from Nepal, India, Thailand and Bangladesh. Among them only 3 were sculptors and all of them were from Nepal. Total 13 artists have participated from Nepal.
This exhibition was very important for artists from abroad and artists from Thailand as it has brought together many senior and new artists from four different countries. It has given a platform to artists to exchange their thoughts beyond their age group and beyond their boundaries which must have helped to broaden their artistic vision. Exhibiting a huge collection of 188 diverse works itself is a success of this program while gathering all the artists at a place is also very commendable. It has paved the path to collaborate with each other in the future too.
As I have talked to the participants from Nepal, the exhibition and visit of Bangkok was very fruitful and inspiring for all of us. It was especially a memorable experience for young artists like Namrata, Deepmala and Nilesh as it was their first ever visit foreign country for an art exhibition. Showcasing their work on such a big platform will prove to be a stepping stone for their artistic career.  Pushpanjali Sherchan and Sarita Dongol are the senior artists of Nepal where as young artist Sanjeet Maharjan has good experience of visiting different countries for art exhibitions. They all have been to many international art workshops and exhibitions so far. But still it was a special visit for them too as the exhibition has offered a wide number of excellent works from different countries.
Among the works, works of Nepali artists stand out in the exhibition as these works were showcasing not only modern images and modern thought but also rooted on traditional/cultural motifs and values. There were Nepali artists who had to offer sculptures in the exhibition. Among three sculptors Pushpanjali Sherchan and Nilesh Shakya had modern sculptures. Likewise, Namrata Singh and Deepmala Maharjan had offered modern thoughts intertwined with traditional motifs while Sarita Dongol had offered traditional beliefs with modern motifs and value in their paintings. The works of Indian and Bangladeshi Artists were impressive. They were mostly senior artists. They have offered diverse ways of expression and mediums in painting. Works of Thai artists had mostly modern motifs. These works were very expressive and eye catching. All together, the exhibition was very impressive and successful.
Apart from the exhibition, visiting Bangkok itself is a very fruitful phenomena for the participants. We have visited some historical places like Wat Pho, The grand palace, Wat Arun, Wat mai amataros etc. Nilesh found these temples very beautiful especially, Wat Arun. He enjoyed the visit of Bangkok Art and Culture center most as he enjoyed being surrounded by the artistic environment not only inside the building but also outside. He was also mesmerised with the modern architecture here. Namrata was spellbound with the words of the Monk we have met at Wat mai amataros who was originally from Nepal. He has described Buddhism as a knowledge rather than religion and Buddha as a spiritual human being rather than a god. Namrata relates these words with her own art works where she depicts images of Buddha as a human. Overall the visit to Bangkok was very fruitful to all of the artists despite the short time.
