Visiting the Oriental Pearl Tower : If you want to have a bird’s eye view of Shanghai and a meal on the top of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, you need about 3 hours. There is a revolving restaurant in the tower. Now the Shanghai Tower and other nearby towers offer other bird's eye view options.

Shopping and Eating in Nanjing Road (at least 2 hours): Return to Lujiazui subway station, take subway line 2 to People’s Square (人民广场), and walk east along Nanjing RoBund are extremely eye-catching. There are many cafés and restaurants theread (Shanghai’s No. 1 pedestrian street for shopping and eating). About 20 minutes is enough to walk the mile (1½ kilometers) of Nanjing Road.

Stroll Along the Bund

During the evening, the Bund is spectacularly illuminated. The historic colonial-era buildings across from the Bund promenade are enchanting.

Across the Huangpu River are many skyscrapers, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, which keeps changing the color of its lights. Several boats are on the river and they too are all lit up.

It is a pleasant way to spend an evening strolling along the riverside promenade admiring the impressive Shanghai skyline.
